Lazy Weekend

This weekend I crammed in alot of lazy summer time activites. Friday night Cabraru stopped by Nijiya to pick up some Sapporo, plum wine & some snacks. We drank up & watched episode 3 of Baian the Assasin (the Fuji TV series from the 90-94). The next day after I stopped by the studio to work on some tracks for my little hobby project for a couple hours we decided to go into the city to check out the new FATLACE store that opened up in Japan Town. I was crazy starving so before we could see what was up with FATLACE we had to get our eat on. I picked On The Bridge because they have the bomb scallop rice au gratin. After scallop rice au gratin, a large Sapporo & kara age we stopped by Kinokuniya. I didn't pick anything up but Cabraru got the new BAPE catalogue. They had a gshock magazine that had all the limited edition g shocks fron Japan in it, it was dope.

Then we walked through the mall on onto the street where the Nihon Machi street festival was winding down. After dipping past all the tourists we made our way over to FATLACE where we were greeted by the owner's daughter Zion, chou kawaii. She was such a cute little girl sporting baggie camo shorts with some fly air maxes & a kiks tokyo tee shirt. She was holding a digital camera & stopped me cabraru as we walked in & asked us to strike a pose next to the FATLACE logo, it was adorable! Then her moms introduced herself & advised us she was probably gonna post the pic on her blog, haha it was so cute. If you guys are ever in San Francisco stop by FATLACE, it's in the spot that Super 7 used to be in, as most of you know Super 7 moved a couple doors down. The store was clean & stylized, very fly & the staff member that was there(Karen, I think) was very friendly. Cool peeps, cool store, I will definitely be making it a regular stop when I go to Japan town.

Anyways after that we went to Nijiya & picked up some smokes, umeshu & shochu then headed back to the house. My cousin & her boyfriend were there & we all settled in to watch 300 on the big screen. Awesome. I almost got twisted off of umeshu but I did the responsible thing & did not indulge in another glass.

Today we stopped by Jamba juice for some smoothies to beat the summer heat then browsed the magazines over at Barnes & Nobles. The Complex magazine cover with Rihanna caught my eye so I picked it up along with the latest installment of Yotsubato manga. I also picked up Apollo's Song by Osamu Tezuka. Wow Rihanna was breathtaking in that cover photo, I just had to pick it up.
After chilling for a couple hours we decided to go out of som Italian cuisine at Johnny Carinos.

Alot of eating drinking & chilling, just the way I like it, lazy summer weekend.
