The crazy long let's hang out adventure.
It was storming out in the bay when I started my adventure. This added to the fact that I did not want to really go out last night but my good friend Mariya has taken a position with the company out in Florida & there was a farewell dinner party being held for her out in Palo Alto. Palto Alto is where Stanford University is, so I was already daydreaming about us all hanging out at the bar & getting into some "Goodwill Huntinglike" exchange with some college prick.

The location was Nola's, a restaurant/Bar made up to look like old New Orleans. I guess those quesadillas I ate were really cheese crepes & the egg rolls I ate were voodoo egg rolls.
Palo Alto is like an hour & a half away from where I am, with the rain (I could barely see anything, real good idea Tsuji, get drunk then drive home in a storm) it took Kim Young Mok & I two hours to get to Nola's. I am glad I went though, Mariya is a good friend of mine & it had been a very long time since I had seen her. I hadn't seen her since our crazy long dinner & a movie date.

backstory:
I used to be an asshole when it came to the ladies.
"Oh, when I said we were going to dinner, I really meant we was going to my house, and when I said we were going to the movies I really meant that we were going to have sex."
To take a queue from mad TV's "The ladies Man".
Now that I'm grown I can't act like an insensitive prick anymore, hell I plan on having a family in the future, time to act right.
I tried acting right with Jennice, with the whole dinner/flowers/walks in the park thing, I enjoyed some success there.
Moving on...I had met Mariya during a training course for our company & we had exchanged numbers. We had talked about getting together for some time so we planned to go out on a dinner/movie date. That date was CRAZY long. I'm in guy mode like, "ok I'll sit through this bullshit movie grab some sushi & bounce." But Mariya had other ideas, now that she had Tsuji, SHE was calling the shots, not ME. She did quite well I must say. A movie followed by sushi for dinner then off to a cafe for some drinks & conversation then off to Cold stone for some dessert. Oh dear lord then window shopping at the strip mall near the theater. I'd be lying if I told you that I didn't enjoy myself a little or that I didn't like being with Mariya it's just, truth be told, about 90% of the time I wished I was at home playing xbox. Or just having sex with Mariya. Or having sex with Mariya & playing xbox at the same time.
I'm a pig. I hate myself.

We get to the spot, which is jumpin' with the hot young college crowd, ooolala, & Kim Young Mok orders up a round of Mojitos that were crazy delicious. We go three rounds while eating our voodoo egg rolls & cheese quesadilla crepes a la' france'. After hugs & a few pictures & watching Mariyah eat a penis cake without the use of her hands or an eating utensil, Kim Young Mok & I bounce.
Since we came so far we didn't want the night to end. Cabraru San checked in on the keitai denwa & advised that he was cold chillin' at a nearby Izakaya. So me & Kim hopped into chunky Black & headed off to meet Cabraru San at Izakaya Mai.
We get to the spot & I was very happy to see that the place kinda stuck to the whole izakaya thing. I had seen the commercials on Channel 26 during Japanese programming but had never been there. Cabraru San goes twice a week & has become a fixture at the sake bar. They all know him by name there. We go & the place is closed! At this time it's around 10:45. Cabraru sees us through the door & waves us in, we order a large Sapporo & have some cool conversation while watching NHK. I suggest that we get going because they would like to start cleaning up the place. We move across the street to B Street Billiards where we had a bunch of rounds of beer, Cabraru San invited the cook from Izakaya Mai over to join us. He had just moved to the Bay last month from Nagano, Japan. I can't remember his name damn that's rude, but I was crazy drunk off the biru. After getting our asses kicked by Japanese homie & a final round after last call Cabraru drove Japanese homie home but Kim & I were reluctant to let the adventure end.
I chose to travel home through the city so Kim decided to give our Chinese friends a call to see if anything was going down. We found out that there was a festival going down in conjunction with the New Year parade. The Chinese community leaders enlist the help of the young brothers in the neighborhood to "guard" the booths for the festival overnight. My boy Jerry was one of the security guards. They blocked off streets in China town so no cars could travel through & there were a bunch of Chinese homies hanging out guarding the booths. Kim advised that we were in the area & we needed beer. Jerry told us to come on through. We hightail it over to Chinatown, when we arrive Jerry removes the police barracades so I could drive Chunky Black through the empty streets, it was INSANELY COOL!
Jerry delivered in his promise of beer & we hung out with everyone drinking & smoking, there were a bunch of hot young Chinese city girls oooolala. Jerry was quick to point out that they were too young for us. I pointed out that as long as there's grass on the field it's ok to play ball.
That was a joke, not really, moving on....
It was awesome to hang out there this morning, I've never seen the city like that before.
After that we decided to hit up Lions before I dropped off Kim, but the bastards were closed! I thought it was a 24 hour diner! I had to go to sleep with an empty belly!
I'm glad I hung out, I wasn't in the mood to go out because of the rain & all but it turned out to be a cool adventure.
So far this has been a great year, things are looking up, all my friends & fam are really experiencing some good luck too. I think this is our year! Even people around me are making comments about the good luck!
